Emraan Hashmi has always been known for his honesty and grounded personality. When he spoke about his experience of working with Salman Khan during Tiger 3, he gave a heartfelt response that reflected both respect and comfort.

Talking about Salman, Emraan told Lallantop, “He is a lot more senior than me but we both have grown around the same neighbourhood of Bandra. We also talk about fitness. It is easy to converse with me, there are times when you feel a certain kind of ease with some people, I felt that way with Salman.”

For Emraan, the seniority gap did not come in the way of their bond. He pointed out how sometimes you just “click” with a person, and Salman was one of those people. “Hum dost nahi hai, but Bandra boys hai. Jab baat karte hai, ek ajeeb si comfort level hoti hai. Kabhi kabhi hota hai ki kuch logon ke saath aapka ek age hota hai, Salman unhi mein se ek hai,” Emraan added.

He also addressed the popular impression that Salman often arrives late on sets. Emraan didn’t complain about it but instead put it gracefully. “Yeh hi kahunga ki unka khud ka schedule hai. He has his own timing and his schedule, but he is one of the best to work with. He is very fond of me, I am very fond of him,” Emraan said, calling Salman one of the most professional co-stars despite his own unique rhythm of work.

What stood out in his words was mutual respect. Even though they are not close friends, Emraan acknowledged that working with Salman was smooth and enjoyable. It wasn’t about being buddy-buddy but about having that unspoken understanding on set.

During the same chat, Emraan also recalled his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Murder. He said, “I hadn’t actually met him. I was inside giving my shot, and he waved to me, showed me a thumbs-up sign and said something like, ‘You are doing well.’ I don’t know if he had seen Footpath (a 2003 film), but that was very encouraging for me, because I am a very big SRK fan.”

That small gesture from Shah Rukh became a memorable moment for Emraan. And his reflections on Salman showed that while friendships may not always be deep, respect and comfort can make working relationships special.
