With over a decade of experience in the industry, she has emerged as one of the most successful and bankable actresses in India. Known for her ability to seamlessly transition between diverse roles, Alia has garnered widespread acclaim for her performances in films like Raazi, Gully Boy, Dear Zindagi, and Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Despite her tremendous success, Alia has been open about her personal struggles, particularly with her mental health. In the past, she candidly shared her battle with anxiety.

Alia Bhatt's struggles with Anxiety

During an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram in 2023, Alia Bhatt opened up about her struggles with nervousness and anxiety. When a fan asked, "How do you overcome fear?" Alia candidly admitted that she, too, experiences anxiety attacks, just like many others.

She responded saying, "When you are anxious, you usually try to cover it up by trying to be okay. So the most important thing is to allow yourself to feel it and go through the experience because it is just part of the ups and downs of life."

The 31-year-old actress went on to share her personal strategies for managing anxiety, offering insight into how she copes with nervousness and stress in her daily life. "The one thing to remember when you are going through an anxiety attack is something that I always do is focus on five things, something that you can touch, something that you can hear and something that you can smell," Alia stated.

In an interview with Vogue, Alia shared that she attends therapy every week, where she expresses her fears. She emphasized that overcoming them is not a quick process, but rather an ongoing journey of growth.

Alia's candid confession about her ADHD diagnosis

Recently, while promoting her film Jigra, Alia Bhatt also revealed that she often zoned out during conversations and in class and felt disconnected. After a psychological evaluation, she discovered she had ADHD, with symptoms on the more severe end of the spectrum. This revelation helped her understand why she felt most at ease when in front of the camera. “I'm most present in that moment. Whenever I am in front of the camera, I am present as the character I am playing. And I'm most present in that moment. And now after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present. These are the two moments in my life where I am more peaceful,” Alia said while talking about the things that give her peace.
