Akshay Kumar has finally addressed the swirling rumours about his cameo in the upcoming horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Speculations had been rife that the actor would join the star-studded cast, which includes Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri, sparking excitement among fans. However, Akshay has now put those rumors to rest.
During the promotions of Khel Khel Mein in August this year, Akshay had firmly denied the claims, dismissing them as "fake news."
He then said: “No, absolutely not. It's fake news,” putting an end to speculation about his involvement in the highly anticipated film.
The buzz about Akshay’s possible return to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise intensified after his much-talked-about cameo in Stree 2.
His brief yet electrifying appearance during the post-credits scene of the Amar Kaushik-directed film created a social media frenzy. Fans celebrated his entrance into the supernatural universe, fueling rumors that Akshay might be stepping back into the world of Bhool Bhulaiyaa as well.
While Akshay’s cameo in Stree 2 thrilled his fanbase, his current run at the box office has been less than stellar. Despite this, the actor remains optimistic, expressing his determination to keep working until audiences reconnect with his performances. It's perhaps this phase of his career that sparked increased speculation about his possible cameo in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, a film that could serve as a boost for his box office standing.
Akshay will be seen in Singham Again as Sooryavanshi. The actor is a part of the stellar cast in the film directed by Rohit Shetty.
As for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, fans will see the return of Vidya Balan, who portrayed the iconic character Manjulika in the first film, though it’s unclear if she will reprise the role. Alongside Vidya, new faces Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri join the film, adding fresh excitement to the franchise. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film is set to hit theaters on November 1, just in time for the Diwali weekend.
