Wamiqa Gabbi, who is gearing up for her upcoming film Bhool Chuk Maaf, has recently recalled her first meeting with Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan. Wamiqa rose to fame with her appearance in Atlee’s film Baby John, alongside Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh.
However, the muhurat ceremony of the film was notably attended by Shah Rukh, where the actress had an awkward meeting with him.
During a recent interview with Mashable India, Wamiqa recalled her first interaction with Shah Rukh, which she described as “very weird.” She revealed that SRK was having a conversation with the crew and fans during the event when Wamiqa was busy with her brother, Hardik. The actress and her brother were discussing the potential topics on which she could have a conversation with SRK.
However, Wamiqa’s brother Hardik jokingly said, “Nas kaat de.” However, Shah Rukh Khan, who was at Baby John’s set for 15 minutes, approached Wamiqa to talk to her before leaving the set.
The actress recalled the conversation and said, “He said ‘okay, bye’ and I said, ‘It was so nice meeting you, sir, my brother was suggesting I cut my wrist but obviously I won’t do that.’ Now, as soon as I told this to him, everyone went quiet, and SRK simply left. After he left, a person from the production came running to me and was like, ‘Did you just talk about cutting your wrist?’ My brother was shocked. I honestly thought SRK would get the humour, but he didn’t."
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao, who was also at the interview to promote their upcoming film, also reflected on his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan at Farah Khan's birthday party. He revealed that they had a long chat about Rajkummar's film King and Aryan Khan's new show, with Shah Rukh mentioning he enjoyed Rajkummar's film Stree 2.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi will soon appear together in Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film is set to be released in the theatres on May 23.
