For his birthday this year, actor Vivek Oberoi decided to trade the usual cake and confetti for something quieter and more meaningful.

The actor spent his special day in Bhutan with his wife Priyanka Alva Oberoi, soaking in the stillness of the mountains and reflecting on life’s blessings.

Instead of grand parties, Vivek chose a spiritual retreat. Sharing pictures from the stunning Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched high on a cliff after a long hike, he wrote: “Away from the world, closer to myself. This year, I stepped away from the usual birthday revelry to embark on a spiritual journey, offering my deepest gratitude to the universe for the abundance I’ve been blessed with.”

In his post, Vivek described how the experience left him feeling refreshed and ready for what’s ahead. “At Tiger’s Nest, after a long hike, renewed, refreshed, and ready for all that lies ahead,” he shared.

He also reflected on the little joys of the trip — walking uphill trails, dipping his feet into icy streams, and letting the cool mountain breeze wash over him. “I’m profoundly thankful for this pocket of stillness, walking up hills, dipping my feet in cold streams, and feeling the wind on my skin, gently washing away all that no longer serves me,” he added.

The actor, who has been part of memorable films like Company, Saathiya and Shootout at Lokhandwala, also took a moment to thank everyone who had sent him love. “Thank you to everyone who sent me love and best wishes. Cheers!” he wrote.
