It was all heart at the Little Hearts success meet, where chief guest Vijay Deverakonda turned a routine celebration into something genuinely feel-good.
He congratulated the team on their box-office run, cracked a few jokes, and—true to form—brought gifts: fresh merch from his clothing label Rwdy for the film’s crew.
Midway through the event, the host clocked that leading man Mouli Tanuj Prasanth was wearing a Rwdy shirt and cheekily asked in Telugu whether the cast had been gifted the clothes or had “stolen” them, since the brand kept popping up during promotions.
Vijay grinned and offered a candid little story that landed with both laughter and empathy: “I gifted to Mouli [Tanuj Prasanth] and [Sai] Marthand (the writer and director) bought it. I’ve seen him wearing Rwdy wear to all events and promotions. I wondered how many he would buy because I know what it’s like when you start out. You can’t always afford it. I wore movie costumes while promoting Yevade Subramanyam because I had no money to buy new clothes. So I gifted them clothes, but I didn’t realise they’re happily earning enough on Instagram."
It was a classic Vijay moment—self-deprecating, generous, and quietly honest about how tough those early years can be. He wrapped up on a warm note, adding, “I am very proud of the boys and the film they have made."
