Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava has become a massive success at the box office. The film, which tells the story of Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has earned an impressive Rs 691 crore worldwide. This makes it the biggest hit of Vicky Kaushal’s career, surpassing the lifetime earnings of Gadar 2, which had made Rs 686 crore globally.

In India alone, Chhaava has collected Rs 525.7 crore within four weeks. The movie saw a boost in collections after its Telugu version was released on March 7. Despite a slight dip in earnings due to the Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand, the film still managed to perform well at the box office.

The movie had a strong opening on February 14, earning Rs 31 crore on its first day. Over the next few weeks, its earnings continued to grow. Here is a breakdown of Chhaava’s box office collections in India:
• Week 1: Rs 219.25 crore
• Week 2: Rs 180.25 crore
• Week 3: Rs 84.05 crore
• Friday (Week 4): Rs 8.75 crore
• Saturday (Week 4): Rs 16.75 crore
• Sunday (Week 4): Rs 11.5 crore

Total domestic earnings after 24 days stand at Rs 520.55 crore, with Rs 512.3 crore from the Hindi version and Rs 8.25 crore from the Telugu version.

Chhaava has also recorded the second-highest fourth-weekend collection in Bollywood history, after Pushpa 2. It earned Rs 28.43 crore in its fourth weekend, showing its strong hold at the box office despite competition.

Looking ahead, Chhaava is expected to benefit from the upcoming Holi weekend, which could further boost its earnings. The only major competition it faces in theaters is John Abraham’s upcoming film The Diplomat.

The success of Chhaava is a big milestone for Vicky Kaushal. Since his Bollywood debut in 2012, this is his highest-grossing film. It has broken multiple records and continues to attract audiences in both Hindi and Telugu markets.

With its current momentum, Chhaava is now aiming to cross the Rs 700 crore mark globally, cementing its place as one of the biggest blockbusters in recent times.
