The visit was in connection with his upcoming historical film, Chhavaa, which is based on the life of the Maratha king and the son of Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Maharaj. This gesture was symbolic of the profound respect Kaushal and his team have for the legendary warrior king.

In addition to the film’s team, Minister for Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, Aditi Varda Sunil Tatkare, and Anil Tatkare (MLC) were also spotted with the group.

Chhavaa tells the poignant tale of Sambhaji Maharaj's relentless resistance against the Mughal empire and his refusal to surrender his kingdom and faith. Vicky Kaushal plays the titular role of Sambhaji, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays Maharani Yesubai.
