Bollywood actor Veer Pahariya has expressed his regret and strongly condemned the violent assault on comedian Pranit More.

Pranit was reportedly attacked by a group of men, allegedly triggered by jokes made about Pahariya.

In a public statement, Pahariya condemned the incident, emphasising that violence should never be the answer and that humour should not be the cause of harm or aggression.

He clarified that he did not support or encourage such behaviour in any form. The attack has sparked a wave of outrage, with many calling for stricter actions against those involved. Pahariya’s apology underscores his commitment to peace and respect for creative expression, urging the importance of non-violence in resolving conflicts.

On February 2, 2025, comedian More was viciously assaulted by a group of 11-12 men, who initially pretended to be fans, following his stand-up performance at 24K Kraft Brewzz in Solapur at around 5:45 pm. According to a statement released by his team on Instagram, a group of 11-12 men, posing as fans, approached More after the show. Once the crowd had dispersed, the men launched a brutal attack, repeatedly punching and kicking him.

The statement named Tanveer Shaikh as the leader of the group and alleged that the attackers specifically targeted More in retaliation for his jokes about Pahariya, who had recently made his Bollywood debut in Sky Force.

The statement mentioned, "The leader of this attack was Tanveer Shaikh, and his gang made it clear why they were doing this they wanted to silence Pranit for making jokes about Bollywood debutant Veer Pahariya. One of them even threatened, "Agli Baar Veer Pahariya baba pe joke maarke dikha!"- a clear warning that worse consequences would follow if he dared to joke about him again."

In reaction, the Sky Force actor conveyed his shock and sorrow over the incident.

Veer mentioned, "Shocked and deeply saddened by what happened, Pranit. I want to make it absolutely clear that I had no involvement in this and strongly condemn any form of violence. I've always taken trolling in stride and would never encourage harm toward anyone, especially a fellow artist. I'm truly sorry this happened to you, and I will do whatever I can to ensure those responsible are held accountable. Sending you strength."

Authorities have not yet released a statement regarding the attack, and it is still unknown if any arrests have been made.

On the work front, Veer Pahariya was last seen in Sky Force alongside Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan. The film gained favourable response from the public as well as the critics.
