The much-awaited rom-com, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, is set to hit the theatres on October 2. Starring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra, the film's advance booking has opened a week before its release.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is helmed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar.
Taking to Instagram, Karan shared a teaser video of the film and announced that the advance booking is available to book tickets. The caption read, "Long story short
ADVANCE BOOKING IS NOW OPEN, celebrate your Dussehra with US & we’ll bring the chaos, ex-tra drama and lots of entertainment! #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari - in cinemas this Dussehra, 2nd October."
According to a report by Pinkvilla, the film has received U/A certificate by the censor board. Starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, the film also features Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra in key parts, with a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The makers have timed the release to coincide with the festive holidays of Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, which usually see large crowds heading to cinemas. However, the film will also face stiff competition at the box office from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1.

The film is expected to be a vibrant entertainment experience that skillfully combines comedy, music, and drama in a manageable running length that maintains the story's interest. Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi will also be seen in important roles.
The popular Shashank Khaitan–Varun Dhawan franchise, which previously gave audiences hits like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Bardrinath Ki Dulhania, is continuing with this movie.
