Bollywood star Urvashi Rautela has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the ongoing 1xBet betting case. The actress is expected to visit the ED headquarters in Delhi on September 16.
In the same case, the ED had previously summoned Mimi Chakraborty, a former MP for the Trinamool Congress, for September 15.
According to India Today, sources close to ED have revealed, “Both have been asked to appear at the ED office in the 1xBet app case.”
Several well-known personalities, including former cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina, have already been questioned as part of the investigation.
Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for eight hours in relation to a case involving an online betting app.
The reports have suggested that the app was connected to the 39-year-old former cricket player through specific endorsements.
This is the most recent development in the 1xBet case, in which the ED has been aggressively interrogating athletes and celebrities connected to the betting site. Real-money online gaming has been outlawed by the central government through recent legislation.

The ED summon came just a few days after Urvashi was honoured with the ‘Fan’s Favourite’ award at the GAMA Awards held in Dubai.
The actress has dedicated her award to her fans. In the acceptance speech, she said, “This belongs to all of you who’ve loved me, supported me, and believed in me.
She also recently made history by becoming the only actress to judge Miss Universe three times.
