Urvashi Rautela apologies to Saif Ali Khan for being insensitive and extends support

Urvashi Rautela faced backlash for displaying her diamond-studded Rolex watch while condemning the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The actress, who recently appeared in the Telugu film Daaku Maharaaj, was criticized by netizens for seeming self-indulgent and out of touch with the gravity of the incident. Many felt that her actions detracted from the seriousness of the situation, leading to mockery online.

In response to the trolling, Urvashi Rautela took to Instagram to apologize to Saif Ali Khan for her comments regarding the attack on him. She explained that she was unaware of the full severity of the situation when she gave the interview to ANI.

In her statement, Urvashi mentioned, "I hope this message finds you in strength. I am writing with a deep sense of regret and heartfelt apology. Until now, I was completely unaware of the intensity of the situation you are facing. I feel ashamed that I allowed myself to be consumed by the excitement surrounding Daaku Maharaaj and the gifts I was receiving, instead of pausing to acknowledge and understand what you are going through."

She went on to say, "Please accept my sincerest apologies for being so ignorant and insensitive. Now that I know the gravity of your case, I am deeply moved and want to extend my unwavering support. Your grace, dignity, and resilience during such a challenging time are truly admirable, and I have nothing but immense respect for your strength."

"I deeply regret my earlier behavior and want to assure you that my thoughts and prayers are now with you. If there is any way I can be of help or support, please do not hesitate to let me know. Once again, I am truly sorry, sir, for my earlier indifference. I promise to do better and to always prioritize compassion and understanding in the future." Urvashi continued.

In an earlier interview with ANI, Urvashi said "It is very unfortunate. Now Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs 105 crore at the box office and my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex, while my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger, but we don't feel confident to wear it outside openly. There is this insecurity that anybody can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate."

Saif Ali Khan was assaulted by an unidentified assailant early Thursday morning (January 16), suffering six stab wounds from a sharp object. He was quickly transported to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, with his eight-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan, assisting him, alongside the caretaker. After undergoing immediate surgery, Saif is recovering and is expected to be discharged soon.
