Marco film starring Unni Mukundan has become one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of 2024, with its theatrical run still continuing successfully since its release on December 20 in Hindi and Malayalam. In a recent interview, Unni revealed that a substance used during filming could have damaged his eyesight.
In an interview with India Today, actor Unni Mukundan revealed that during the filming of Marco, nearly 300 liters of a blood-like substance were used. He admitted that the process posed a risk to his vision due to the chemicals involved.
Mukundan explained that he had to apply a specific type of chemical to his eye to make it appear more red and realistic, not fully realizing the potential dangers at the time.

He mentioned that the procedure could have resulted in the loss of his vision. Due to temperature fluctuations, the material would become sticky, and his doctor later told him that it could have seriously damaged his eyes. Reflecting on the experience, he confessed that he should not have gone through with it.
Marco, a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller, features Unni Mukundan, Kabir Duhan, Riyaz Khan, and Yukti Thareja in prominent roles. The Hindi and Malayalam versions of the film were released on December 20, while the Telugu and Tamil versions followed on January 1 and 3, respectively. According to Sacnilk reports, Marco has earned over Rs 90 crore within 18 days of its release.
