Recently, Twinkle Khanna shared a touching glimpse into her life that encapsulated the spirit of her family's artistic legacy that has been passed down through the generations.

The author and former actress discussed in a thoughtful post how her creativity has always been a unifying factor that has allowed her to connect with both her mother and her daughter.

Taking to Instagram, she posted a beautiful video showcasing her mother, veteran actress Dimple Kapadia; her daughter, Nitara; and herself, all engaged in different forms of artistic expression.

Twinkle demonstrated how ingrained the spirit of artistic expression is in her upbringing by sharing a moving moment in which three generations of women—she, her daughter, and her mother—sat together and made little works of art.

“I grew up like this, surrounded by creativity,” she wrote adding that, “Everyone in our household was always drawing, making knitted little dolls, writing poems. There were sitar teachers and painting ‘sirs’ ambling in and out of the house. It was glorious chaos.”

“I’m grateful I can still give my daughter a taste of that joy — the magic of sitting together at a table and making something with your hands,” she added.

On the work front, in the 1990s and the first part of the 2000s, Twinkle Khanna established herself as a professional in Bollywood. She made her screen debut in the movie Barsaat and quickly gained popularity as the daughter of the renowned Rajesh Khanna.

Twinkle portrayed the lead role in a number of well-known films, such as Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Jaan, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, and Baadshah. She decided to give up acting after a run of parts, and she went on to become a best-selling author, columnist, and businesswoman.
