Mohanlal all set to join Rajinikanth on the set of Jailer 2, fans cannot wait to seem them on big screen again

Jailer 2, the sequel to the hit movie Jailer from 2023, is inching closer to the completion of the shoot, and veteran actor Mohanlal is all set to join the shoot this December. Fans are excited about the updates as they are curious to see two legends get back together on the big screen.

Nelson Dilipkumar is in charge of the project, and Sun Pictures is making it. The filming officially began in March 2025. The team began in Chennai, and over the months they have filmed in many different places, including Kerala.

Rajinikanth said earlier this year that the movie is set to come out on June 12, 2026.Recent rumors say that Mohanlal will begin the production as soon as December 2. The first schedule could last a few days. He might come back later in December, between the 21st and 24th, to finish his parts.The producers have not yet made an official announcement, though.
