Social media users observed that the initial promo shared by the Bigg Boss 19 creators did not include any clips of Malti Chahar.

The brief promo video showcased clips of Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Farrhana Bhatt, Gaurav Khanna, and Pranit More, with Malti notably absent. The unforeseen absence of the social media figure led fans to wonder about her exclusion from the top 5 too.

Certain social media users and supporters of Malti have suggested that the competition is fixed and the top five participants are already chosen.

Nonetheless, the creators quickly removed the aforementioned promo from their official accounts. This was succeeded by another promotion of the grand finale, revealing the date and time for the final episode. The updated grand finale promo includes Malti Chahar as well. Supporters of Malti spotted the mistake and alerted others in the comments.

Following the recent evictions of Ashnoor Kaur and Shehbaz Badesha, the contestants still in Bigg Boss 19 are Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Tanya Mittal, Amaal Mallik, Malti Chahar, and Pranit More. Except for Gaurav Khanna, every other contestant is up for eviction. Anupamaa's popularity makes her the sole contestant with a 'finale ticket'.
