Diwali has arrived early on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, and Amitabh Bachchan seems to be having the time of his life. This week’s special episode promises not only festive sparkle but also plenty of laughter, thanks to the presence of comedians Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek.
After last week’s tense moment with a young contestant who went viral for his blunt behaviour, the show is shifting gears into lighter territory. In a Diwali-themed episode set to air on Monday at 9 PM, the mood on set is nothing short of joyful.
In a promo shared by Sony TV, the KBC studio is seen bursting with laughter as Sunil Grover takes centre stage.
Sunil, who is clean-shaven and wearing an all-white suit, performs his song Mere Husband Mujhko Pyaar Nahi Karte in a humorous manner.
Amitabh Bachchan is in stitches after the performance; he claps, tilts his head back, and bursts out laughing, obviously relishing the unplanned humour.
Krushna Abhishek, looking sharp in a classic black suit, joins in the revelry with a wide smile, soaking up the humour. Fans have responded enthusiastically to the teaser.
"Oh my godddd two legends" was a comment made by an enthusiastic viewer, summarising the excitement surrounding the next episode.
Bringing the laughs is nothing new for Sunil and Krushna, who also appear on Netflix's The Great Indian Kapil Show.
While Krushna continues to rule the comedy circuit, Sunil has also made his mark in recent projects like Sunflower, Tandav, and even a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

The lighter tone of the Diwali episode follows a more serious moment from last week’s show. A 10-year-old contestant, Ishit Bhatt, made headlines after displaying what many viewers felt was disrespectful behaviour—interrupting the host and demanding answers be “locked” mid-question. Bachchan, ever the gentleman, handled the moment with patience and grace.
When Ishit eventually stumbled on a ₹25,000 question about Valmiki’s Ramayana and walked away with no winnings, Bachchan offered a kind reminder: “Kabhi kabhi bachhe overconfidence me galti kar dete hai.”
