Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s upcoming film, The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, has sparked nationwide interest following the release of its first video unit on Republic Day, January 26, 2025. The powerful clip features Mithun Chakraborty solemnly reciting the Indian Constitution with a burned tongue, set against the eerie silence of an empty corridor.

The impactful imagery hints at the film’s deep dive into India’s historical, political, and social narratives. As the final installment in Agnihotri’s trilogy—following The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files—the film has generated significant anticipation. Adding to the excitement, the filmmaker recently announced that the project has officially wrapped up.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has dropped a gripping teaser for his upcoming historical drama, The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter. The teaser showcases veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty in a powerful role, walking through a dimly lit corridor.

His rugged appearance, marked by a white beard and exhausted expression, sets the tone for his intense performance. In a striking moment, Mithun’s character recites the Preamble to the Constitution of India despite a burnt tongue. The teaser ends with him leaning against a wall, leaving a lasting, evocative impression.

The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, is produced jointly by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi. Presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal and I Am Buddha Productions, the film is set for a global release on Independence Day, 15th August 2025.
