The Dark Knight Rises and London Has Fallen actor Alon Aboutboul died on July 29. He was 60.
According to USA Today, Alon died after collapsing at the HaBonim Beach in Tel Aviv. However, the exact cause of his death is yet to be confirmed.
Soon after his death, Israel’s Culture and Sport Minister Miki Zohar took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account and mourned his passing.
He tweeted in Hebrew, “I was deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of the actor Alon Abutbul, may his memory be blessed.”

The tweet continued, “Alon was a recipient of the Ophir Award and the Television Academy Award, and over the years, he portrayed a wide range of characters, bringing depth and emotion to them, leaving a profound mark on Israeli culture. May his memory be blessed.”
Meanwhile, Alon shared a photo of an evening ocean view along with the caption in Hebrew, “An especially beautiful sunrise,” on his Instagram Story.
For the unversed, Alon has appeared in a series of popular films, including Every Time We Say Goodbye in 1986 and Rambo III two years later. He then bagged several big projects like Munich and Body of Lies.

Additionally, Alon also portrayed Russian nuclear physicist Dr. Leonid Pavel in the final film of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy in 2012.
Alon Aboutboul is survived by his wife, director Shir Bilya, and their four kids.
