The actor — who recently confirmed his retirement from the movies after this project — was seen arriving in Kodaikanal for the next schedule of the movie and was greeted by huge crowds of fans and the paps.

Vijay debarks his plush Rs 8 crore private jet at Madurai airport in widely circulated pictures and videos. The actor, dressed in a simple white kurta and kadhi pyjama, was surrounded by tight security, but yet, he greeted all fans with a warm gesture. The video has quickly gone viral, with fans praising the star’s sweet nature as he prepares for what is being billed as a final outing on the big screen.

And to add to the excitement, if a report on OTTplay is to be believed, Amazon Prime Video has snapped up the film’s (post-theatrical streaming rights (for a whopping amount of ₹121 crore.) If true, Jana Nayagan will be one of the highest OTT acquisitions in the history of Tamil cinema. An official from the production is still pending, however.

In an exclusive interview with galatta.com, director Karthik Subbaraj revealed that he had invested a lot of time on another project with Vijay before Master, but the project didn’t take off. Some of the scripts which I narrated to Thalapathy Vijay did not click. I’ll concede I’m not the best tope. I even narrated for Thalapathy 69 but nothing materialised. By the time I got something else, H. Vinoth was already signed,” he shared.

With production progressing at breakneck speed and expectations hitting the roof, it’s looking like Jana Nayagan is going to be an epic farewell to the actor in Vijay and a grand new beginning in politics. They also recently announced that they will keep their fans posted with new developments over the next few weeks, as the film nears the finish line.
