Renowned Telugu actor Posani Krishna Murali has been arrested by the Anantpur police in Hyderabad, according to reports.

Renowned Telugu actor and YSR Congress Party member, Posani Krishna Murali has been arrested by the Anantpur police in Hyderabad, according to reports.

Reports said that the actor was arrested at 8:45 pm on February 26.

According to report in India Today, a case was registered against him at the Obulavaripalli police station under sections 196, 353(2), and 111, read with section 3(5) of the SC/ST Act.

Posani is in police custody and will be produced before the Additional Magistrate in Rajampet.

The case has been filed against the actor for allegedly making derogatory comments against a particular community, which led to creating discord among groups.

According to another report in Great Andhra, Posani's wife said that her husband was unwell, but despite this the police went ahead and arrested the actor.

The Anantpur police said they will conduct tests on the actor under their supervision.

It is not the first time Posani has faced any legal trouble, way bakc in November 2024, he was booked for making derogatory comments against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Posani Krishna Murali is a popular face in Telugu cinema and is known primarily for his comedy and character roles.
