Actor Sri is taking medical help after posting explicit content on social media

Tamil actor Sri (also known as Shri Natarajan), who had been missing for several days, has now been found and is receiving medical care, offering relief to fans and colleagues who had grown increasingly concerned about his wellbeing.

The actor's health was officially updated by director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who collaborated with Sri on the highly acclaimed movie Maanagaram. When Sri shared graphic material on Instagram, the situation took a concerning turn and there were worries about his mental health. Initially, friends, family, and colleagues in the film industry tried in vain to contact him.

Fans were upset by his abrupt actions and disappearance, and they started tagging Lokesh Kanagaraj on social media to ask him to step in. On behalf of Sri's family and close friends, the Leo director released a statement on Friday.

“We would like to inform all well-wishers, friends, and media that Actor Shriram is currently under professional medical care. He is taking a break from social media following the advice of his doctors,” read the statement. Lokesh also emphasised the importance of privacy during this time, urging people not to speculate or circulate unverified news about Sri’s condition.

The director further requested that media platforms remove any objectionable content, including videos and interviews that misrepresent the situation. “We do not endorse or support the statements made by certain individuals in the media, and we distance ourselves from such claims,” the note added.

Sri's recent posts, which featured adult-themed content and striking physical changes like drastic weight loss and dyed blonde hair, attracted a lot of attention. He had reportedly lost touch with his family for a long time.

The actor was last seen in Irugapatru (2023), directed by Yuvaraj Shayalan. He had earlier voiced grievances over unpaid dues from past film projects. Sri made his debut in Balaji Sakthivel’s Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and later appeared in notable films like Onaayum Aatukuttiyum, Son Papdi, Vil Ambu, and Maanagaram.
