Swara also faced trolling for her comments. Take a look at the reactions:
In response, a user wrote, “Rethink, this tweet Swara, I am a student of history from Delhi university & nothing remotely fictional about the torture inflicted by Aurangzeb on Sambhaji Maharaj before he murdered him. Let’s not play games with our history please. One outrage does not preclude the other."

Another user wrote, “Fictionalised filmy torture of Hindus"?! How dare you seek to make light of the supreme sacrifice made by Sambhaji Maharaj – who was brutally tortured and murdered by the wicked Mughal coward Aurangzeb! Swara Bhaskar – your deeply offensive and hurtful statement, that too on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is obviously aimed at deliberately insulting the sentiments of millions of Indians and to create strife between religious groups. You, madam, ought to be prosecuted for this criminal offence to the fullest extent permissible under the law."

Swara Bhasker recently hit back at those criticising her wardrobe choices after her marriage to Fahad Ahmad. In a sarcastic post, she referred to her fashion decisions as a ‘national cyber debate’ and shared additional photos to silence her critics. She also reflected on how speaking out on social media had cost her career.
In the meantime, Chhavaa, a historical action film directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, has been drawing significant attention. Based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of Shivaji Maharaj, the movie stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role as Sambhaji, with Rashmika Mandanna portraying Maharani Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. The film is adapted from the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant and is performing well at the box office.
Chhavaa depicts the brutal torture faced by Sambhaji at the hands of Mughal forces. According to historical accounts, Sambhaji was asked to surrender his forts and wealth, as well as convert to Islam, but he refused. As a result, he endured an agonising death.
