Actress Swara Bhaskar has once again sparked conversation with her candid views on sexuality and gender.
When Swara appeared on the talk show Pati Patni Aur Panga—Jodiyon Ka Reality Check with her husband and politician Fahad Ahmad, she talked about her personal views, saying that she believes that everyone is naturally bisexual.
In a recent interview with Screen, Swara shared more on her perspective, saying, “If you leave people to themselves, we are actually bisexual, but heterosexuality is an ideology that has been put on us for thousands of years. Because the human race will perpetuate, so it has to be the norm.”

Swara revealed that she has a 'crush' on Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav, whom she recently met in person.
“I believe in everything,” admitted the Tanu Weds Manu actress, adding humorously that her frank opinions may have already risked her husband’s political prospects in Maharashtra.
However, Swara’s remarks have also sparked a wave of trolling on X (formerly Twitter).
While a few users lauded her honesty and bold opinion, agreeing to her statement, others criticized her views on sexuality and mocked her for openly admitting to having a crush on Dimple Yadav.
Many people also dragged her husband, Fahad Ahmad, into the discussion. One user wrote, ‘Ab ye samajwadi party me ticket ke liye efforts kar rhe hai… Bhagwan kare Akhilesh bhaiya ise Gorakhpur se khada karde.’

Swara's candidness, both on-screen and off, has earned her criticism over the years for her bold remarks. With her latest statement, Swara has once again managed to bring discussions about sexuality and representation into the mainstream.
The actress who has been away from Bollywood was last seen in 'Mrs. Falani,' an anthology film released in 2023.
