Sunny Deol unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Jaat in Mumbai on March 24. Starring alongside Randeep Hooda, the film is set for a theatrical release on April 10. During media interactions, Sunny shared insights on the Deol family's increasing projects and their new professional phase.
While talking to the media at the trailer launch event on Monday, the Border actor emphasised on the work done by his younger brother Bobby Deol and their father, veteran actor Dharmendra, in recent times. "I don't think it adds pressure. It's high time [we got this kind of work]. We were waiting for it. It always takes us years back. That's how the family has been, and that's how we are," shared Sunny Deol.
Sunny Deol expressed his satisfaction that the film industry is finally recognizing their hard work and talent. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, stating that success can come unexpectedly, and one should continue working hard and never give up.
Further talking about his upcoming films, Sunny Deol said that he has several films lined up currently and reflected on his happiness of all the projects happening. "I've been waiting for a long time for projects to shape up for me. Gadar [2] began all of that for me. I am doing 'Jaat' right now. I'll speak when the time is right to discuss these other projects. All of these are amazing subjects," he remarked.
Sunny Deol is making his Telugu debut with Jaat. The film also features Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher and Swarupa Ghosh in key roles.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film is backed by producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, along with TG Vishwa Prasad from People Media Factory. The soundtrack is composed by Thaman S. Although the makers have not disclosed much details about the project, the trailer has garnered lot of excitement to see Sunny in his new avatar.
Sunny Deol has several films in the lineup including Border 2 and Lahore 1947.
