Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood star Govinda, is well-known for her candid and unfiltered opinions. In a recent interview, she addressed longstanding rumors about Govinda’s alleged affairs and responded to recent controversial remarks made by his former co-stars, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty.

Sunita has often been vocal about her unwavering support for her husband, defending him against criticism and controversies over the years. Her straightforward demeanor continues to make her a standout personality in Bollywood circles.

While having a candid conversation with Hindi Rush, Sunita said, "Raveena bolti hai abhi bhi, Chi Chi (Govinda's nickname) tu mujhe pehle milta, mai tere se shaadi karti. Maine kaha le jaa, pata chalega tere ko'[Raveena still says, 'Chi Chi, if I had met you earlier, I would have married you.' I told her, 'Take him, then you'll find out']," Sunita said in jest.

Raveena Tandon and Govinda shared the screen in over a dozen films during the 1990s and early 2000s, including hits like Dulhe Raja (1998), Aunty No 1 (1998), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), and Sandwich (2006). Despite past controversies, Raveena recently visited Govinda in the hospital after he accidentally injured his foot in a shooting mishap, showcasing their enduring camaraderie.

Govinda’s co-star Shilpa Shetty also paid him a visit in the hospital following his recent injury. During an appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix India, Govinda shared a lighthearted moment, revealing that Shilpa jokingly asked, "If Sunita wasn’t home, then who shot you in the foot?" Her playful remark added a touch of humor to the otherwise serious incident.

To which, Sunita replied in the same interview, "Toh maine bola, ‘Shilpa, agar mai goli maarte toh sine pe maarti, pair pe nahi maarti'. Kaam karo toh poora karo nahi toh mat karo [I told Shilpa, 'If I had shot him, I would have aimed for the chest, not for the leg. If you're going to do something, do it completely or don't do it at all.']"

Sunita Ahuja reflected on her playful appearances on Kapil Sharma's comedy show, where she jokingly encouraged Govinda to have affairs. She later clarified to him that her remarks were made in jest. Sunita admitted she wasn’t particularly worried about Govinda having an affair during his prime years, as he was always busy with work. However, she humorously confessed that her concerns have grown now that he’s turned 60 and has more free time on his hands.

On the work front, Govinda will next be seen in Baahe Haath Ka Khel, Pinky Darling, and Len Den: It's All About Business. These upcoming projects will showcase his versatile talent in different genres, keeping fans excited about his return to the screen.
