Filmmaker Suneel Darshan has recently announced the highly anticipated sequel of Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra's starrer, Andaaz, which was released in 2003.
The filmmaker unveiled an official poster of the upcoming film and gave the first glimpse at new actors who will star in Andaaz 2. The filmmaker took to his Instagram and shared an announcement video of the upcoming sequel.
Alongside the video, the filmmaker celebrated 22 years of the film and penned in the caption, “The Journey from ANDAAZ (2003) to 22 years later as ANDAAZ 2... Compelling stories, Blockbuster Musicals and Rousing Entertainers...! Love, Dreams, Passion unleashed.”
The video starts with introducing the 2003 film Andaaz actors Akshay, Priyanka and Lara Dutta. The video then introduces the sequel’s cast, Aayush Kumar, Aakaisha and Natasha Fernandez, who are the newcomers to Bollywood.
However, Suneel Darshan has previously reflected on the sequel and claimed that the script has already been finalised, and they have also completed the recording of the entire album.
The filmmaker also talked about casting Aayush as Aarav in the film and said in an interview with IANS, “when my casting director brought male artistes to approve for the protagonist’s friend’s roles & amongst them was this person who I felt could be my best choice not for the friend but in the leading man’s role… his persona & look qualified for the lead character Aarav & I decided to go by my intuition and signed him up…”

He explained the character and noted, “The leading man Aarav Kumar was born at that moment & it took quite a while for the actuality to register in his mind. It was time to get the prep going & Aayush started working towards chiseling & toning up his body as well as fine-tuning his dance alongside the script reading."
Aayush will play Aarav, a passionate musician navigating love, ambition, and personal struggles. The upcoming film promises a rich blend of romance, drama, and emotional depth.
