Sonu Sood recalls why Farah Khan built a swimming pool at home after seeing Shah Rukh’s team in trunks during Happy New Year shoot in Dubai

Actor Sonu Sood recently hosted director Farah Khan at his luxurious Mumbai bungalow. During their candid chat, captured in Farah’s latest vlog, the duo reminisced about their Happy New Year filming days. From teasing each other about busy schedules to revisiting hilarious behind-the-scenes moments, the reunion was packed with nostalgia and laughter.

A particularly amusing story involving Shah Rukh Khan’s team and a swimming pool left fans in splits.

During the conversation, Farah joked about Sonu’s unavailability, saying, “Sonu is such a good friend. It has been a year since our channel started, we weren’t even able to get his dates.” Sonu quipped back, “It is so difficult to get Farah’s dates. She is so popular now. I have been chasing her since a long time. Bula le yaar.”

The conversation then drifted to a funny memory from the sets of Happy New Year. Sonu shared, “We were shooting in Atlantis hotel, Dubai, on the 25th or 30th floor. Farah then said that she wanted to go swimming. But when we stepped onto the balcony, we saw Shah Rukh Khan’s Bengali staff swimming in trunks. I asked her if she still wanted to go. She said, ‘Main ab zindagi main swimming pool mein jaana band kardungi (I’ll never step into a swimming pool again in my life).’”

However, Farah later clarified with laughter that the incident was precisely why she eventually built her own swimming pool at home for privacy. “That’s when I thought I need a private pool now,” she joked.

Sonu also introduced Farah to his wife Sonali Sood during the house tour, where Farah revisited her last brief visit after Sonali’s accident, adding warmth to their friendly catch-up session.
