Sonali Bendre recently attended a book exhibition in Mumbai, organised by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, to commemorate Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din.

The actress shared several moments from this special event on her Instagram, where she looked elegant in a dark green salwar kameez, exuding grace at the literary gathering. The occasion celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Marathi language, and Sonali’s presence added a touch of charm to the festivities.

During the event, Sonali not only attended but also recited a heartfelt poem by renowned Marathi writer Govind Vinayak Karandikar, further connecting with the essence of the occasion.

She captioned her post, saying, “The Marathi language is not just a collection of words, but the pride and celebration of our culture! Celebrating the beauty of Marathi language! Honored to be a part of the Marathi Book Exhibition on Marathi Language Day." Through this, she highlighted the deep cultural significance of the Marathi language and its role in preserving the state's rich heritage.

For those unaware it isn’t the first time and Sonali and Raj Thackeray have shared a memorable moment together. Years ago, they had the honour of welcoming the legendary Michael Jackson to India, further solidifying their connection in the public eye.

The Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din 2025 event also saw the presence of several iconic figures, including music legend Asha Bhosale, renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar, and actors Vicky Kaushal and Riteish Deshmukh, who gathered to celebrate the language and its cultural significance.
