Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Antony are in a title clash over the name “Parasakthi” for their films. Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film, directed by Sudha Kongara, is titled “Parasakthi” and focuses on the theme of student revolution. The title was announced through an impressive promo. However, Vijay Antony, who is also a composer-actor, claims that he already registered the title for his upcoming film. Vijay Antony’s movie is titled “Sakthi Thirumagan” in Tamil and “Paraashakthi” (with an extra ‘a’) in Telugu.
The conflict started after Sivakarthikeyan revealed the promo for his film. Vijay Antony shared a letter, stating that he had registered the Telugu version of the title six months earlier. This has created confusion about who holds the rights to the title. Both sides now claim ownership of the name.
Dawn Pictures, the production house behind Sivakarthikeyan’s film, responded by sharing official documents from the Tamil and Telugu Film Producers’ Councils. These letters state that they legally own the title “Parasakthi.” Additionally, AVM Productions, which made the original 1952 film “Parasakthi” starring Sivaji Ganesan, also expressed their support for Dawn Pictures. They mentioned that they are happy to pass the title on to the team.

On the other hand, Vijay Antony’s team stands firm that they hold the rights in Telugu. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce also issued a letter confirming his registration.
Now, both sides are gearing up for a discussion to settle the matter. Fans of both actors are eagerly waiting to see how this issue will be resolved. The final decision about the title’s ownership will be made after a meeting between the concerned parties.
