Legendary singer and actress Connie Francis was hospitalised in Florida on Wednesday, July 2, after suffering from extreme pain. She has been undergoing tests and has recently shared an update on her health.

A post was shared on the official Facebook page of Connie revealing that she has been admitted to the hospital. She also revealed in the post that she had to cancel her scheduled Brucie's show for Independence Day due to her health woes.

The post reads, “Hello Everyone — As many of you may now have learned through Cousin Brucie's Facebook page, I am back in hospital where I have been undergoing tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain I have been experiencing.”

She continued, “I had hoped to take part in Brucie's show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip. Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw.”

She thanked her fans for the well-wishes and promised an update on her health. She concluded, “My thanks for your many get well soon messages. I will endeavor to keep you updated. Love, Connie.”

Just a few hours later, Connie went on to share another post on her Facebook page, giving her fans an update on her hospitalisation. She revealed that she received a series of tests and examinations. The singer further noted that she was transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit and into a private room.

The post reads, “I am pleased to advise that following a series of tests and examinations in Intensive Care, I have now been transferred to a private room.”

She concluded her post while thanking her fans and penned, “Thank you all for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. They mean so much! Love, Connie.”

Connie has recently become a social media sensation after her song Pretty Little Baby went viral on TikTok, 63 years after she recorded it. The song registered more than 10 billion views, sending it to No. 1 on both TikTok’s Viral 50 and Top 50 charts.
