In a recent interview with Scroll, renowned director Shoojit Sircar, who recently released the teaser for his much-anticipated film I Want to Talk, featuring Abhishek Bachchan, shared insights into his artistic vision and the themes that motivate his creative endeavors.

He remarked, "Whatever the situation in your life, it can be looked at with humour too. I’ve tried to bring those nuances into the films. These beautiful relationships and moments, which cook slowly, where there is joy, appeal to me more."

The recently released teaser highlights Shoojit Sircar's exceptional talent for crafting relatable narratives in his films. His storytelling frequently centers on the intricacies of human relationships, transforming everyday challenges into compelling and thought-provoking tales.

For example, Piku, where he tackled the sensitive issue of constipation—an uncommon subject in mainstream cinema. By situating this topic within the father-daughter dynamic, Sircar created a poignant narrative that entertained while shedding light on a very human concern.

In Vicky Donor, he approached the themes of sperm donation and male infertility, which are often laden with stigma. With October, he delved into the themes of loss and healing, presenting them through an unconventional love story. I Want to Talk represents Sircar's first collaboration with Abhishek Bachchan, following his previous works with Amitabh Bachchan in Piku and Gulabo Sitabo. The film is set to release in theaters on November 22, 2024.
