“Yes, 'Jailer 2' is there. Director Nelson said that he would be coming soon - the shooting has actually started," Shiva said while confirming his presence in the sequel.
During a recent media interaction, Shiva Rajkumar opened up about his brief but impactful cameo in the original film. He shared that the immense appreciation he received for the role took him by surprise and remains a cherished memory.Shiva Rajkumar shared that he hadn’t anticipated such a huge response to Jailer, adding that he took up the role simply because it was for Rajinikanth.

When they asked me for this role, I did not want to say no. Even if it was a dashing shot, I would’ve done it. I didn’t even ask for a story," he added.
Despite having little on-screen time, Shiva Rajkumar recalled that his performance resonated with viewers all over the world. Friends from the US and Australia, he said, contacted him to commend his role.
He added in a lighthearted tone that even his wife still makes fun of him for it, asking what exactly he did in the movie. He joked that all he did was push a tissue box and walk with a cigar, not realising that the tissue would become such a talking point.
