The beloved Shin chan franchise, cherished for over 30 years, is making a grand comeback to Indian cinemas with Shin Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary, distributed by PVR INOX Pictures.

The much anticipated animated film is set to hit the theatres in India on May 9, 2025. It will be available to watch in Japanese, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

This marks a historic moment, as it is the first Shin chan movie to receive a theatrical release in India. A blend of adventure, family, and dinosaurs, the film promises to entertain audiences of all ages. In Japan, the movie shattered franchise records, grossing an impressive 2.69 billion yen at the box office.

Directed by Shinobu Sasaki, Our Dinosaur Diary transports viewers to Dino’s Island, a cutting-edge theme park in Tokyo where dinosaurs have been resurrected. What starts as an exciting summer vacation takes a dramatic turn when Shinnosuke and his family come across a baby dinosaur named Nana.

As a shadowy organization sets its sights on Nana for a mysterious secret, Shinnosuke, his faithful dog Shiro, and the Kasukabe Guard must embark on a daring rescue mission—all while dinosaurs unleash chaos across Tokyo and Kasukabe.
