Shilpa Rao reunites with lyricist Sameer Anjaan after 17 years for Baaghi 4 song “Yeh Mera Husn”

The makers of Baaghi 4 are keeping the buzz alive with the launch of their latest track, “Yeh Mera Husn.” Sung by Shilpa Rao, the National Award-winning singer known for her hauntingly powerful vocals, the track pairs glamour with melody — and brings with it a reunion nearly two decades in the making.

The song, composed by Tanishk Bagchi and penned by veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan, features Harnaaz Sandhu in a striking new avatar.

With Shilpa’s voice soaring over Bagchi’s contemporary beats, the track is pitched as both stylish and soulful — the kind of number that gets under your skin and refuses to leave.

For Rao, the collaboration stirred a strong sense of nostalgia. “This song actually has a very beautiful tune. It’s truly awesome to work with Sameer ji again. The first song we did together was for Salaam-E-Ishq, which was Saiyyan Re, and now, after more than 17 years, we’ve worked together again!” she shared.

Reflecting on the process, she added: “I really love the simplicity and the beauty with which the song is written and the way Tanishk has composed it. I just hope people vibe to it, the word is loop and I really hope everyone loops it. Looking forward to all your reactions. Thank you so much.”

The music video has been shot against a breezy beach backdrop, giving it a lighthearted, almost carefree vibe. Harnaaz Sandhu shines in her glamorous look, while Shilpa’s evocative vocals bring out the breeziness and energy of the composition.
