The couple shared the story behind their decision to purchase the house, expressing how meaningful this step has been for them.

As they get ready to welcome their first child, actor couple Rohit Purohit and Sheena Bajaj are embarking on an exciting new chapter in their lives. The couple has accomplished another significant milestone, though, before welcoming parenthood: they have moved into their ideal home.

In a recent interview with HT City, the soon-to-be parents talked candidly about their new home, which they have affectionately named Aashiyana. “The moment we zeroed in on this house in August last year, things started to fall into place for us. Our dream of having a baby came true in just a few months of buying the house.”

The couple shared the story behind their decision to purchase the house, expressing how meaningful this step has been for them. Their new abode is a spacious 3 BHK apartment located in the Dahisar area of Mumbai, a place they now proudly call home. “I have been working on the interiors since day one. There’s a huge aisle outside our bedroom and Rohit and I were planning to use that space to the best of its capacity. Back then, we didn’t know that it would soon be turned into our baby’s nursery,” Sheena added.

Further talking about Sheena’s dedication towards the interiors and baby stuff, Rohit remarked, “From bringing the baby stuff like a bed rail guard, an extended crib and storage baskets to selecting the perfect wallpapers — the mum-to-be is leaving no stone unturned in making the place extra special. We are keeping the colours gender neutral. While I have a feeling we will have a girl, Sheena feels it’ll be a boy. But irrespective of who comes, all we pray for is a healthy baby.”

The couple disclosed that during their seven years of marriage, they had to move several times. They admitted how exhausting it was to relocate frequently and search for a new residence, particularly in a city like Mumbai. They were grateful that their long-held wish for a permanent residence had at last come true.

The timing of their new home is even more significant because, as Sheena disclosed, she found out she was pregnant in January of this year. The relocation not only signifies a change of location but also the start of a new chapter that will involve both professional and personal development.

Sheena Bajaj is best known for her role as Dolly Singh in the popular kids show Best of Luck Nikki. Later, she worked in several television shows including Mariam Khan Reporting Live, Thapki Pyaar Ki, Humse hai Liife among others. Meanwhile, Rohit currently appears in the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
