The latest episode of Shark Tank India 4 featured another Campus Special, but despite some intriguing ideas, no deals were made.

One of the most talked-about pitches of the day came from Reyansh Juneja, whose startup MemoTag was inspired by his grandfather’s battle with dementia.

The device is designed to assist in dementia caregiving with features like GPS tracking, Geo-Fencing, Fall Detection, and Vocalized Reminders. It also incorporates AI tools to predict a patient’s health through voice analysis. Reyansh sought Rs 50 Lakhs for 5% equity.

The sharks started their questioning with curiosity, asking about his background and prior entrepreneurial ventures. Anupam Mittal even asked Reyansh if he was a drama student due to his confident and articulate pitch. Reyansh admitted to rehearsing his pitch since morning. As the discussion progressed, he unveiled the product’s packaging and prototype, initially impressing the sharks.

However, things took a turn when Vineeta Singh requested a demo, and Reyansh declined, citing Wi-Fi issues. Kunal Shah questioned what features were functional in the prototype, to which Reyansh admitted that none were currently active. When pressed further, he revealed he had not brought the application required to demonstrate the product.

This prompted Anupam to quip, “Reyansh ke siva kuch nahi chal raha hai.”The situation escalated when Reyansh failed to provide accurate numbers and disclosed that the focus was on software rather than hardware, leaving the sharks visibly stunned. Kunal probed further about the number of transmitters, but Reyansh was unable to answer.

Frustrated, Vineeta opted out, calling it “one of the most disappointing pitches in Campus Special” and accusing Reyansh of fabricating stories to cover up a non-existent product. Namita Thapar followed suit, advising him to present a concrete customer journey.

Ultimately, Anupam, Kunal, and Ritesh Agarwal also opted out, urging Reyansh to refine his business before seeking investment. The pitch ended without a deal, leaving the panel unimpressed and the entrepreneur with critical lessons to learn.
