Shahid Kapoor is all set to begin filming for the second season of his OTT debut series, Farzi 2 starring opposite Vijay Sethupathi, as per sources cited by Pinkvilla.
As reported by the publication, Shahid Kapoor has commanded a whopping Rs 45 crore for his upcoming thriller series—marking the highest paycheck of his career so far. A source close to the development shared that while Shahid typically charges between Rs 25 to 30 crore per film, he has opted for a higher fee this time around, owing to the fact that Farzi is a digital series. The actor reportedly follows a different pricing model for OTT projects compared to theatrical releases.
The production of Farzi 2 is expected to start in December of this year, according to the same report. Shahid, who was last seen in Devaa, has already helped creators Raj & DK map out the main plot of the follow-up.
A captivating face-off involving Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon is anticipated in the upcoming Farzi saga. The second half of 2026 is when the sequel is anticipated to debut.
Shahid Kapoor played the lead in the first season of Farzi, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2023. Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, and Kavya Thapar were among the show's notable supporting cast members. It had received critical acclamation.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor is presently working on Vishal Bhardwaj's gangster action movie Arjun Ustara. In the project, he is paired opposite Triptii Dimri. With a December 5, 2025, theatrical release date, the filmmakers hope to wrap up production by June.
