The highly anticipated IPL 2025 opening ceremony is scheduled to be held at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on March 22, promising a grand and star-studded spectacle. As per recent reports, several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Salman Khan, are expected to grace the event with their presence.

A report by Hindustan Times cited a source close to the event’s organizers, indicating that the guest list is indeed filled with prominent personalities. The source mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan is likely to attend, given that his team will be playing the opening match. Additionally, Salman Khan might also make an appearance, possibly to promote his upcoming film Sikandar.

The IPL 2025 opening ceremony is set to dazzle audiences with high-energy performances by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Karan Aujla, Disha Patani, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan.

In addition to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, actors Vicky Kaushal, Sanjay Dutt, and Shraddha Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Pooja Hegde, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, and Ayushmann Khurrana, among others, are also expected to attend the IPL 2025 opening ceremony.

Reports suggest that the American pop band OneRepublic has been approached to perform at the event. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding their participation yet.

The 18th season of the IPL begins with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

The tournament will feature ten teams—Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru—competing in 74 matches across 13 venues. The season will conclude with a grand finale on May 25.
