Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic residence, Mannat, is reportedly the most photographed location in India after the Taj Mahal and the Gateway of India, as per a post on Reddit.
A landmark in its own, Mannat attracts many fans and tourists daily, who gather outside its gates hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar. Situated in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra area, the sea-facing mansion is a blend of heritage architecture and modern luxury.
Often hailed as the crown jewel among his many prized possessions, Mannat holds a special place not only in the hearts of his fans but also in the cultural and architectural landscape of Mumbai, symbolising SRK’s rise from a modest background to becoming the ‘King of Bollywood’.

Many people took to the comment section of the post to point their views on the same, One wrote, "Malik, usse India Gate kehte he." Another person funnily commented, "Hotel Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai is the second most photographed place in India."
However, in a recent development, Bollywood’s King Khan and his family have temporarily vacated their lavish sea-facing bungalow due to ongoing renovations. While Mannat undergoes a revamp, the Khan family has relocated to a more modest yet luxurious accommodation, albeit significantly smaller than their original home.
According to reports, the temporary residence comprises two high-end duplex apartments in the plush Pali Hill neighbourhood of Khar. These apartments are situated in the Puja Casa building and were leased from the prominent Bhagnani family. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan now finds himself neighbours with the very family from whom the properties were rented.
As per property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com, one of the duplexes measures approximately 6,000 square feet, while the other spans around 4,500 square feet. Together, they offer a total living space of 10,500 square feet—less than half the size of Mannat, which stands at a sprawling 27,000 square feet.
While this temporary move might come as a surprise to fans, it’s clear that the Khan family continues to enjoy the best of luxury living—even if it’s just a temporary detour from their beloved Mannat, which remains a symbol of Shah Rukh Khan's journey from Delhi boy to Bollywood royalty.
