    For those unversed, Shah Rukh Khan will receive the National Award as Best Actor for Jawan.

    Actor Shah Rukh Khan is set to receive his first-ever National Award at the 71st National Award ceremony set to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday (September 23). Ahead of the ceremony, several fans expressed their excitement as the superstar will be honoured with the prestigious award after more than 33 years in Bollywood.

    Before the award ceremony began, Shah Rukh Khan’s fans took to social media, expressing their excitement and cheering for the actor after photos of his nameplate at the National Awards venue went viral.

    A user took to X and along with the photo of Shah Rukh Khan's name, they wrote, "History in the making! In no time, Shah Rukh Khan will be receiving his first-ever National Award. A moment every fan has been waiting for #SRK #NationalAwards."


    Another fan penned, "After some time, we can see our King, Shah Rukh Khan Sir, winning the National Award for Best Actor for Jawan live. I can't wait to see the moment! The program starts at 3 pm today."

    For those unversed, Shah Rukh Khan will receive the National Award as Best Actor for Jawan. The award will be shared by actor Vikrant Massey for his film 12th Fail. Actress Rani Mukerji won the Best Actress award for the film Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.

    As per reports, Shah Rukh Khan, who won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award, was initially set to receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh. However, he will get only Rs 1 lakh since the award is being shared with Vikrant Massey.

    The 71st National Award will be held on September 23 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
