Recently, Shabana Azmi posted a sweet picture of her husband Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani's son, Farhan Akhtar. The photo, which was taken at Farhan and Shibani Bedi's 2022 wedding, exquisitely conveys their love and respect for one another.
Shabana paused Monday to reflect on this treasured wedding day memory. As they celebrated the happy occasion and the new ties that were growing within their family, Farhan, who was smartly dressed in a black blazer and bow tie, grinned warmly at Shabana.
She wrote a heartwarming caption to go with the photo, saying, "My precious betu #Farhan." I adore this moment.
Fans and friends flooded the comments with love and admiration. Shalini Pandey, Azmi’s co-star from Dabba Cartel, wrote “Awwwww,” while others expressed sentiments such as “Mother And Son And Daughter - Inseparable Emotional Eternal Bond - Always Forever ,” “You are so cute dear,” “Nice Togetherness,” “Lots of love,” and “masha allah baaji.”
In the second season of The Invincibles, Shabana spoke openly about her close relationship with her stepchildren, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar. She revealed that the children now feel more at ease with her than with their biological father, Javed Akhtar.

“These kids were very, very young (when Shabana married Javed). Then they started growing, they started becoming friends with me. And today, they feel more comfortable with me than with their father. If they’re exasperated with him, then they have to come and talk to me,” she shared.
Shabana added that mutual respect and self-control are the reasons behind the peaceful relationship she shares with Javed and Honey. Although Honey felt deceived at first, Javed remained calm throughout, and Shabana opted for silence rather than conflict, a dynamic that has kept them together.
