Singer Shaan recently gave fans a delightful glimpse into a memorable train journey that turned unexpectedly musical. Travelling from Rourkela to Nagpur, the singer found himself at the centre of an impromptu concert inside his compartment, after co-passengers requested him to sing some of his most loved tracks.
What followed was a rare musical moment. The compartment soon became a lively music venue as Shaan gave fellow passengers a soulful performance of “Dil Leke Darde Dil De Gaye” from the 2009 film Wanted, as well as his old favorite “Tanha Dil.” The performance left everyone on the train visibly thrilled, and many passengers appreciated the singer as he performed his song.
Sharing his experience, Shaan posted a video on Instagram on Sunday. The video showed a glimpse of his train journey, from when he boarded the train and enjoyed the scenic views from the window. The video also showed a passenger asking him to perform a song, which he happily agreed to do.
In the caption, Shaan admitted that the trip brought back some fond memories for him. "Travelling in Gitanjali Express after ages brought back so many memories #Nostalgia #summerholidays."
Recently, the singer also spoke about the resilience and spirit of Mumbai. Having lived in the city for several years, Shaan reflected on how its people continue to remain positive despite everyday challenges.
Speaking about the city to IANS, he said, “Millions of people come every day in our city. Of course, infrastructure, travel, pollution, there are many things that are problematic. But we are slowly getting good solutions and answers for all of them. One very good thing is that people in Mumbai are still happy despite all this. We should all be proud of the people of Mumbai. We keep ourselves happy in all these situations.”
Through a simple train ride, Shaan not only created a beautiful musical memory for his fellow passengers but also reminded everyone of the joy in sharing moments and music with strangers.
