Sanya Malhotra’s films Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Pagglait trends on Ott following Mrs success

Actress Sanya Malhotra seems to be unstoppable after her film Mrs became a huge success. The actress’ fans now revisited her past works resulting in Meenakshi Sundareshwar trending at #4 and Pagglait trending at #5 on the OTT platforms.

The actress celebrated the huge victory and thanked her fans for the love. She took to her Instagram Story and shared a screenshot of her trending films. Alongside the photo, she penned a heartfelt message for her fans, "Feeling so grateful for all your love and kindness.” She added, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart!” while adding teary eyes and heart emoticons.

Sanya Malhotra has recently attended the star-studded success of her film Mrs along with her co-star and the industry’s other prominent personalities. The film brought a storm on social media raising questions about gender roles in the patriarchal system in Indian society. The film was first premiered at the 2023 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Mrs director Arati Kadav was notably nominated in the Best Director Category at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Sanya received a standing ovation and the Best Actress award at multiple film festivals for her portrayal of Richa in Mrs. Directed by Arati Kadav, the film revolves around the life of an educated dancer married to a doctor and her struggles to balance her career and her traditional role as a wife and homemaker. However, her previous characters are now winning millions of hearts. In Meenakshi Sundareshwar, Sanya portrayed the role of newly-wed in a long-distance marriage. Meanwhile, she starred as a young widow navigating grief in Pagglait.

Sanya has more projects lined up including, Dharma production’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, where Sanya is expected to channel a completely new character. She is also suspected to star with Anurag Kashyap and Bobby Deol.
