Former actress Sana Khan has found herself in the midst of a controversy after a video of her with youtuber Sambhavna Seth went viral. In the clip, Sana is seen jokingly forcing Sambhavna to wear a burqa and a dupatta, but this led to criticism from netizens.
The video shows Sana teasing Sambhavna about her outfit, saying, "You don't have a good salwar kameez... Want a slap? Where is your dupatta? burqa lao (Bring a burqa)... Make Sambhavna wear a burqa." Sambhavna then tells her that she has gained 15 kgs and none of her clothes fit her anymore.
Sambhavna is also heard saying: “People will focus on what we say, not on our clothes. People will love us for who we are."
While some people felt Sana's comment was harmless, others criticised her for imposing her beliefs on Sambhavna.
One user wrote, "Why do they keep imposing burkha on everyone?"
Another wrote: "Sambhavana is not Muslim. So why she is forcing her."
Another Muslim user wrote: "As a Muslim, this is very bad behaviour especially to show online, respecting others beliefs as you want others to respect yours. im sure she’s joking but still its a bad example when there is always enough hate towards us, forcing others is to do anything they’re not ok with it is completely haram anyways!"

Sana Khan quit the entertainment industry in 2020 and deleted her social media content related to her acting career. This controversy has sparked a fresh debate about respecting people's choices and boundaries.
