Salman Khan to earn Rs 120–150 crore for hosting Bigg Boss 19’s first three months: Report

Bigg Boss 19 is set to premiere on 30th August 2025, and the buzz around the show is already sky-high. Fans are excited to see what the digital-first season brings, with superstar Salman Khan returning as the host for the initial three months. Along with the extended runtime and new format, the biggest talking point is Salman’s massive paycheck for this season.

Salman Khan’s Whopping Paycheck

According to industry sources, Salman Khan will reportedly earn between Rs 120–150 crore for hosting Bigg Boss 19 for 15 weeks. This translates to an eye-watering Rs 8–10 crore per weekend episode, as the show primarily premieres on Jio Hotstar, followed by a delayed telecast on Colors TV. Despite this season having a comparatively smaller overall budget, Salman’s fees highlight his unbeatable star power and enduring connection with the audience.

For perspective, Salman had charged Rs 96 crore for Bigg Boss OTT 2, while his remuneration for Bigg Boss 18 and Bigg Boss 17 stood at Rs 250 crore and Rs 200 crore respectively. Since Bigg Boss 19 will be divided between Salman and guest hosts, his remuneration is lower than the traditional TV-only format but still exceeds previous OTT seasons.

Digital-First Approach & Guest Hosts

This year, Bigg Boss 19 will run for a total of five months, with Salman hosting the first three. The remaining weeks may see guest hosts such as Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor taking charge. The makers are heavily focusing on the digital audience, with episodes first releasing on OTT and later airing on TV.
