Salman Khan’s Sikandar locks Rs 165 crore non-theatrical deal, covers 80% of production cost

Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Sikandar is already making headlines before its release. The film has secured a Rs 165 crore non-theatrical deal, which covers 80% of its production cost. This means that even before hitting the theaters, the movie has already earned a significant amount of money.

Sikandar is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and stars Rashmika Mandanna alongside Salman Khan. The film is scheduled for a grand Eid release on March 30, 2025. With such a huge pre-release business, the film is expected to be one of the biggest Bollywood films of the year.

According to reports, Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for Rs 85 crore. If the movie crosses Rs 350 crore at the box office, the deal could increase to Rs 100 crore. Additionally, the satellite rights have been sold to Zee for Rs 50 crore, and music rights were sold for Rs 30 crore through Zee Music Company. This means the total non-theatrical earnings could reach Rs 180 crore.

Sikandar has been made on a massive budget of Rs 180 crore, excluding Salman Khan’s remuneration. Promotional and advertising expenses are estimated at Rs 20 crore, making the overall investment even higher. But with these pre-release deals, the filmmakers have already recovered over 80% of their costs, reducing financial risks.

This film will mark Salman Khan’s first on-screen pairing with Rashmika Mandanna. The supporting cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and more. Since the movie is releasing during the festive season of Eid, it is expected to perform well at the box office.

The first song from the movie, “Zohra Jabeen,” has already gone viral on social media. The second song is expected to release around Holi, further increasing the buzz. Advance bookings for the film will open soon, and many are expecting a blockbuster opening.
With Salman Khan’s massive fan base, A.R. Murugadoss’s action-packed direction, and a big-budget production, Sikandar is predicted to be one of the biggest Hindi movies of the year. The strong pre-release business shows high audience anticipation, making this a movie to watch out for!
