Salman Khan’s longtime bodyguard, Shera, who has been a constant presence by the actor’s side and gained popularity in his own right, has now stepped into the world of acting. In a recent ad, Shera embraced his inner Salman Khan, marking an interesting and much-talked-about debut on screen.

In a touching Raksha Bandhan commercial for a grocery delivery service, he makes his screen debut by switching from his long-standing position as Salman's go-to bodyguard to a more sentimental persona.

Shera portrays a trustworthy and protective brother figure to women in need in the latest Instamart ad. Shera exemplifies the essence of a true 'bhai', from assisting someone in finding a rickshaw during a downpour to intervening when a classmate crosses the queue.

Shera is portrayed in the ad as everyone's brother, and viewers are encouraged to express their gratitude by sending a rakhi to the brothers in their own lives.

Ahead of Raksha Bandhan the following week, the advertisement was released on August 1. The bodyguard's acting stint caught everyone off guard, and netizens swiftly responded in the comment section.

One user wrote, "Lagta hai Shera bhai ko hi rakhi bandhni padegi ab." Another comment read, "Turkish icecream walo ka toh danda band karva denge Shera bhai." A user also wrote, "Need a Shera to lift autos whenever they say no."

Actor Zaheer Iqbal also commented as he teased his wife Sonakshi Sinha and wrote, "Ab Samjhaaaa … this is why @aslisona is roaming with a Rakhi in her pocket. Kab mil rahe ho humein Shera bhaiii ???"

Shera, born Gurmeet Singh Jolly, has been Salman Khan’s trusted personal bodyguard and head of security since 1995. In addition to his long-standing association with the superstar, he runs his own security firm, Tiger Security, which has provided protection for numerous top celebrities over the years.

On the professional front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar and is now gearing up for his upcoming patriotic film Battle of Galwan.
