In a show of respect for the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan announced on Monday that he has postponed his highly anticipated Bollywood Big One tour, which was scheduled for May 4-5 in the UK. The tragic events in the Baisaran Valley, which claimed around 26 lives, led the actor to take the decision to delay the event out of respect and solidarity for the victims and their families.

Salman Khan took to Instagram, sharing the poster of the tour that featured a star-studded line-up, including Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Kriti Sanon, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, and Maniesh Paul, alongside the "Dabangg" actor himself. The poster clearly marked “postponed” over the name of the tour, signaling the change in plans.

In his emotional post, Salman wrote: “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to request the promoters to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London.” He further expressed his understanding of how much his fans were looking forward to the performances but emphasized that “it is only right to pause during this time of grief.” The actor concluded with an apology for the inconvenience caused and reassured fans that new dates for the shows would be announced shortly.

The attack in Pahalgam, which occurred on April 22, left 26 tourists dead after terrorists segregated the victims based on their religion and shot them execution-style. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the horrific assault. The attack followed the abrogation of Article 370 in the region, and TRF has been involved in several such incidents since its formation.

Following the attack, other Bollywood celebrities have also shown their support by canceling scheduled performances. Notable singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal both decided to call off their upcoming concerts.

On April 25, Shreya Ghoshal shared a note on her Instagram stories, explaining that her concert in Surat, scheduled for April 26, had been canceled due to the tragic events. The organizers assured fans that they would receive full refunds for their tickets, which would be processed to their original payment method. Arijit Singh also announced the cancellation of his concert in Chennai, further highlighting the emotional and professional impact of the Pahalgam attack on the entertainment industry.
