The recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of at least 26 people, including tourists and locals, has sparked nationwide grief and outrage. As the nation mourns the senseless loss of innocent lives, numerous celebrities have come forward to condemn the heinous act and express solidarity with the victims' families.
One of the most prominent voices among them is Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Deeply affected by the tragic incident, Salman took to social media to express his anguish. “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families,” he wrote. In a poignant message, he added, “Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai,” which translates to, “Killing one innocent person is equal to killing an entire nation.”

Salman’s statement has resonated with many across the country who are struggling to make sense of the brutal attack that targeted a group of tourists on April 22 in the picturesque region of Pahalgam. The attack has not only shaken the local community but also cast a dark shadow over the peaceful image of Kashmir, often referred to as "paradise on earth."
Joining Salman in condemning the violence was his Karan Arjun co-star Shah Rukh Khan, who has remained a strong voice for unity and peace over the years. While Shah Rukh’s response was more private, sources close to the actor say he has reached out to the families affected by the tragedy.
Other stars from the film industry also expressed their grief. Actress Alia Bhatt shared her heartbreak on social media, stating, “The news from Pahalgam is truly heartbreaking. My heart goes out to all the victims and their families. Violence like this should have no place in our world.”
